The flying dragon that you saw in the movie is called Black Wyvern and fires poisonous breath on ground and aerial troops. You can have up to two support troops on the field (one for Xbox Live matches). The support troops are the troops that you can't control directly but can order them to give support on targeted locations. Can you talk a bit about some of the cool troops you can use? Dee: Ah, aerial units, they are support troops. IGN: In the intro movie that plays when you leave the main menu idle, you see some really cool troops, including a dragon and a blimp. Boy, they were surprised when they stepped on my traps. While they were busy avoiding the fire, I set traps around my troops using sappers. I saw enemies advancing in my direction, so I had my archers fire flame arrows right in front of them to stop their advance. Another example is from an Xbox Live match. Then the scorpions can attack the castle wall without worrying about the catapults. Then you need to quickly move your infantries and initiate an attack to keep them busy. There's a mission where your scorpions have to break through a castle wall, but enemy catapults are ready to fire as soon as the scorpions are in range. Dee: It would be better to give you few examples rather than try to elaborate. Talk about how strategy plays a role in the game. IGN: There are still a lot of RTS elements in Crusaders. We are now confident that the decision was right, and hope many gamers can agree with what we've done with the game. There could be numerous solutions to this, and we decided to focus heavy emphasis on the action element of the game to appeal to more gamers and to have more accessibility. IGN: Why did you choose to go with action-oriented gameplay? Dee: Many games have tried to bring RTS elements to the console scene, but none of them have had any significant success with it. The rest of the game elements were created from scratch. As a result, we took only basic unit designs and a bit from the storyline.

IGN: How has Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders evolved from the original PC title? Dee Lee: Although KUFTC takes its universe from the original KUF, we wanted to make a completely new game with unique gameplay. We spoke recently with Dee Lee, Producer for Kingdom Under Fire, who answered all of our lingering questions about Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders and gave us a definitive answer on the status of the other Phantagram Xbox titles.
